In her role as Associate Vice President for Corporate Sponsorships, Licensing & Trademarks; Val provides university-wide leadership, infrastructure, strategy, and coordination to create and implement dynamic, mutually-beneficial corporate sponsorships and trademark licensing partnerships. Val advises and collaborates with university colleagues to implement tactical strategies and opportunities to create innovative, meaningful, and financially beneficial arrangements and brand connections with sponsors and licensees. This includes the strategic direction for the promotion and protection of external uses of IU’s name and marks. Val earned her BS from Western Michigan University.
